2009 Speed Tennis and Mixed Doubles Mixers
Speed Tennis and Mixed Doubles Mixers are mixed doubles events held during the spring and summer months at the Riverside Park tennis courts and co-sponsored by NYC Tennis Partners with the Riverside Clay Tennis Association (RCTA) and the 119th St. Tennis Association (119TA). They’re a fun way to meet and play with many tennis enthusiasts and find compatible partners. Speed Tennis events take place on six consecutive Saturday afternoons from May 9th to June 13th. Each event is limited to 24 players on five courts. There are six 20-minute rounds with four games per round. All participants play five rounds and have one bye round, an opportunity to observe others play. At the end of the event you’ll submit a list of the people you would like to play with again – confidentially, of course – and you’ll be provided with the contact information for those who would like to play with you. • Saturday, May 9th 1-3pm for 3.0 level & above @ 119th St. WAIT LISTED

• Saturday, May 23rd 1-3pm for all levels @ 96th St. (RCTA membership required)
• Saturday, May 30th 1-3pm for 3.5 level and above @ 96th St. (RCTA membership required)
• Saturday, June 6th 1-3pm for registered Red Clay Tennis Assn. ladder play @ 96th St. (RCTA membership required)
• Saturday, June 13th 1-3pm for 3.0 level & above @ 119th St. WAIT LISTED
The Sunday following each event is the rain date for that event.
COST: $25 for RCTA and 119TA members includes balls, court time, refreshments, and prizes. 100% of proceeds goes to the tennis associations. Membership in RCTA ($50/year) is required for the events at the 96th St. courts; an additional $25 ladder fee is required for the June 6th event. Membership in 119TA ($25/year) is not required for the events at the 119th St. courts; however the event cost is $35 for non-members.
